President's Bio



Barbara Bruce-Ross, President & CEO

The B.Witching Bath Company, a family-owned business founded in 1969 as a boutique manufacturer of personal care products. Since reviving the company, Barbara has been instrumental in its transformation, expanding its reach and influence within the Indie Beauty industry.

In 2001, Barbara, along with other founding family members, reorganized the company while maintaining a steadfast commitment to creating wholesome, effective bath and beauty products. By 2003, Barbara assumed the role of President and CEO, taking on greater responsibility for the company’s daily operations. Under her leadership, B.Witching Bath Co. has flourished, becoming a leader in the Indie Beauty space.

Barbara now oversees the full range of company operations, including its retail stores, wholesale sales, internet sales, product development, branding, marketing, and advertising. Under her guidance, the company’s portfolio has grown to include award-winning products like One-hundred Roses, Rocky Mountain Sky, Spa Tonic, and the Kitchen & Garden Soap Collection. In 1999, she launched the locally popular Hometown Candles collection, which grew in response to customer demand. Most recently, in 2023, Barbara expanded the company’s offerings by launching Noble Lantern Candles, a whimsical candle collection that adds another dimension to B.Witching Bath’s product range.

Before joining B.Witching Bath, Barbara had an 18-year career in finance at a New York-based financial institution, experience she credits with helping her develop the drive, strategic insight and decision-making skills that have contributed to the company’s success. Barbara is an alumna of Fairleigh Dickinson University and Columbia University.

A native of the metro New York area, Barbara now resides in Wyckoff, NJ, with her family. She is passionate about supporting community initiatives and has served on the boards of various charities, political action committees, and women's business groups. Barbara has been featured in media outlets such as The Huffington Post, Today Show, The Record, CNBC.com, Forbes.com, and Fox Business News. She is available for commentary and appearances on topics including the Indie Cosmetics industry, bath and body formulations, work-life balance, small business growth, and retailing trends.

Barbara’s leadership, vision, and entrepreneurial spirit continue to drive The B.Witching Bath Company to new heights, making it an influential force in the bath and beauty market.
